Pale Purple Coneflower (Echinacea pallida) is a Texas-native perennial with long, narrow pink-purple petals that droop gracefully around a raised, spiny center. Its deep taproot helps it withstand dry spells, making it a great choice for sunny Texas gardens. Summer blooms attract native bees and butterflies, while the seed heads provide food for birds. It also serves as a host plant for Silvery Checkerspot caterpillars, adding extra value to wildlife-friendly landscapes.
