Desert Willow ‘Bubba’ (Chilopsis linearis ‘Bubba’) is a fast-growing, drought-tolerant ornamental tree known for its upright growth habit, glossy dark-green foliage, and fragrant, two-toned burgundy and pink flowers. Its large, trumpet-shaped blooms appear from late spring through summer, attracting hummingbirds, bees, and butterflies. Unlike many other desert willow selections, ‘Bubba’ produces fewer seed pods, keeping its appearance relatively tidy. This deciduous tree thrives in full sun and well-drained soil, making it an excellent choice for water-efficient landscapes, pollinator gardens, patios, and sunny urban spaces.
