Sagittaria platyphylla (Delta Arrowhead) is a tall, bold aquatic perennial native to Texas and the southeastern U.S., commonly found in still water, marshes, and muddy edges. With long, paddle-shaped leaves and clean white flowers that rise above the waterline, this species adds height and structure to pond margins and wetland gardens. It thrives in shallow, nutrient-rich soils and performs well in bog filters or rain garden zones. Like others in the Water-Plantain family, it supports aquatic wildlife and improves water quality through soil stabilization.
